‘Ammetelle’ refers to the name for Ampthill in the Domesday book. To celebrate the rich local history, we’ve produced a warming, silky oatmeal stout with mild hop bitterness that is every bit as comforting as you’d hope.

With a truly distinctive golden colour Ampthill Gold is brewed using yeast, the finest hops, and a specially selected amber malt that gives it a rich golden tone. Subtle flavours of biscuit from the malted barley perfectly compliment the crisp bitterness and delicate hop aroma.

Our latest IPA is a classic India Pale Ale with a well balanced hoppy and malty character.
Its caramel and biscuit malt flavouring paired with English hops give it a fruity, yet dry and bitter finish.
A classic ale enjoyed in the modern day.

honey trap 4.8% (Seasonal ale)
This beer is brewed with gallons of Bedfordshire honey complimented by a generous portion of malt, wheat, hops, orange and spices. On opening the bottle, you are overwhelmed with fresh aromas of wild honey flowers, citrus & spice, giving a refreshingly delicious brew. This ale is available during the summer months, dependant on the Bedfordshire honey avaliability.

Local is Lekker 3.9%
Our South African brewer’s first response to this beer was “this is lekker” – which means “this is nice”. Brewed to a summer ale style using lots of English hops, it has a crisp bitterness, complimented by caramel and malt, making this a light, smooth ale to enjoy any time of the year.

after dark 4.8%
A black IPA that is brewed with a multitude of hops and sits comfortably on a roasty base of dark malts. Dense citrus, coffee and chocolate notes with a dry and resinous finish make this a dark beer for those who don’t want to leave the hops behind.

Hat-Trick 4.1%
A triple hopped pale ale which makes it a distinct “Hat-Trick” of flavours and aromas. With a nod to the sports player and fan, this is a golden coloured ale with a pleasant citrus aroma and a malty bitter finish. Perfect to celebrate any sporting achievement.

James Blonde 3.9%
This well-balanced and smooth blonde ale will certainly shake and stir your taste buds. With notes of peach and apricot, this refreshing ale is perfect for those who like a light ale.

Masquerade 4.3%
Masquerade red ale is a celebration of the picture book “Masquerade” in which a treasure was found close to our brewery location. With modern ingredients and brewed to a traditional style, this smooth red ale has a malty backbone with a clean, yet slightly sweet taste at the forefront, giving way to a balanced bitter finish.

Racing Rudolph 4.7%
Our Christmas Ale is available now. It is a dark and malty festive brew with a subtle hint of Christmas spices.
